When we got back outside the Telč Castle, we got to appreciate how the castle actually looks like. It wasn’t very obvious from the square but it is much more visible here. What we didn’t realize was that there was a body of water right outside the castle. It appears to be the Telč River and it flows right by the castle and behind the town square. I remember seeing this river on the way in the town and I thought that it would be great to have a walk around here. There is a small bridge to cross the river and by now, I starting to get excited.

Castles by rivers tend to be beautiful and I think Telč Castle is one of these castles. The river serves as a natural foreground for photographs by it also serves as a natural defense against invaders but it also serves as a nice place to relax. There are several points along this walk where you can just sit down by the river and admire the view. I doesn’t seem to be a long walk and my friends were happy enough to walk all the way around, if only to get nice photographs.
