We were in the town of Telč in the Czechia or the Czech Republic. When we initially entered the town, I noticed that it felt a little more elegant compared to the other places with have been to, which is fairness, isn’t a lot yet. However, the town had a feeling of sophistication that I didn’t feel elsewhere and this is just the first impression. That feeling continued on when we parked at the town square. The square is long and it is surrounded by several almost identical looking buildings. The buildings here were renovated over the years in baroque and renaissance style. It is almost strange to see very identical looking structures in the same place. I guess that might have been the point.

The main square is like a showcase for the beauty of the town. There are some baroque statues in the square and for a moment you could imagine that you are in Italy. The structures around the square are mostly shops now. I didn’t notice if there were restaurants there but there has to be. There were a few souvenir shops as well. I can see the beauty of this square but it feels almost too quiet here. Maybe it is because it was still early in the morning, but I think this place do a little more livening up with some stalls in the square.
