My friends and I just came back from a little excursion in the outskirts of Český Krumlov. There were a viewpoint that overlooks the town that I wanted to go to and while it certainly was a viewpoint, the view turned out to be not that great. By the time we got back to town, it was already starting to get dark. What I noticed was that the town was already quiet. Sure, it didn’t have the massive crowds of people even during the day but now that the sun has gone down, it has gotten even more quiet. I don’t know if this is because we were there in March and not a lot of people go there that time of the year but I think I like it this way.

When we got back to town, my friends wanted to get some rest while I wanted to get more photos. So we went our separate ways for now. I wanted to get to some spots which may offer good views the town. The town itself can be rather hilly considering that it is already that small. This means that there are a few opportunities to get overlooking shots. I found this sports where it is high enough to see the rest of town. At the same time, there is Český Krumlov Castle clearly in the background because it is just so tall. The lights were already turned on by this time and it enhances the beauty of this town even more.

I know that this is all just street lights but the effect that the street lights give is that it feels as if you were thrown back in time. It was like a video game where you would have guilds and all. There are taverns where people would gather but I suspect these would mostly be tourists. In fact, I wonder how many people actually live here. Wiki says there are around twelve thousand people who live here but somehow there don’t seem to be that many people here. I think these twelve thousand people would be living outside the medieval town while tourists would stay inside it.
