We might have spent a little too much time taking photos in the medieval town of Český Krumlov that we weren’t able to have enough time to visit the Český Krumlov Castle, one of the major landmarks in town. However, while we decided not to go in the castle anymore, the rest of the grounds are still open for visitors. Most especially that bridge. There is a bridge which was constructed high above the entrance to the town. This is connect the two parts of the castle. I thought it was rather strange to have the castle grounds in to parts like that but it was amazing to see the bridge as well.

It just so happens that the bridge is also the best viewing area to see the old town. So this was perfect for us. It was still late afternoon and there was still a lot of sunlight here but because of this, visitors can see all of the medieval town from here as well at the River Vltava which surrounds the town. For me, I already know that this is the highlight of the visit. I love getting views like this and it helps that Český Krumlov is already that pretty to begin with. The bright roofs are very prominent in the sunlight. It also helps to tell the visitor just how extensive the town is.
