Casa di Giulietta or The House of Juliet is one of the most popular attractions in the city of Verona. The house can be considered to be a monument to Juliet Capulet of Romeo and Juliet fame. I know that she wasn’t even a real person but the name is so well known that she might as well be. For some reason, this house was thought to be the house of the “real” Juliet. If I were the owner of the house, I also would take advantage of that. Visitors can go in and see several exhibits which relate to Juliet.

One of the exhibits here are rooms which represent how the Juliet’s house must have been back then. The house has been carefully preserved and it was fitted with furniture appropriate for the time. Since the Capulets are a rich family, they have rather large houses for the time. In the upper floor of the Casa di Giulietta, there is a full size bed which was used for an actual film Romeo and Juliet in 1968. The bed is owner by a separate company which still provides it with their own sheets. I can find any information if the house was actually used for the filming but I won’t be surprised if it was since it already looks the part.
