While the city of Vicenza might be one of the highlights of the work of the great architect Andrea Palladio, it might be easier to appreciate his work in one single place. The Palazzo Barbaran da Porto is actually another one of his works here in the city of Vicenza. This former residence was restored and converted into what is now the Palladio Museum. I consider myself someone who appreciates architecture but I think reality might beg to differ. I would not be able to name parts of a column if it would save my life. However, I do like to see interesting designs of houses and buildings.

I don’t know much about older architecture styles since they tend to blend into each other the more I see them. But even so, Andrea Palladio is considered to be one of the greatest architects of this time and I would at least like to see samples of his work. The Palazzo Barbaran da Porto has been converted into a museum which would showcase his work. Students of architecture would appreciate this place since there is more literature about his works than just walking about in the city. In particular, there would more explanations about stuff which we might not even see.
