I told myself that I would be visiting the rest of the Andrea Palladio designed sites in the city of Vicenza. I managed to visit the ones which are in around the Piazza dei Signori which is the old city square but the rest of the sites were scattered all over the city. They weren’t terribly far away from each other but it was still a good walk from one place to the next. From the looks of it, the remaining sites are all going to be easier to see as long as I get there. The next spot is the Portal of Santa Maria in Foro dei Servi.

The Portal of Santa Maria is a bit of a walk away from the square. In fact, it was much quieter here and far away from the tourist crowd. I had a little challenge in finding the place since there aren’t too many signs in here. I’m glad that it was marked in Google Map and I was able to find it. I guess, not a lot of tourists make it here. As expected the Portal of Santa Maria is found a quiet corner of the city. This place is not accessible to visitors but it is clearly visible from the outside. I don’t know if Andrea Palladio likes these types of designs but they are starting to look alike from my perspective.
