I visited quite a few places here in the the city of Vicenza. I started early in the morning right as soon as I arrived in the city because the hotel I booked didn’t seem to be open. I have never heard of a hotel with opening times before but who knows, this might be a strange one I booked. All this time, I have been going around, I was carrying my two backpacks, one in the front and the other one my back. It wasn’t very heavy but it was still cumbersome to walk around like that especially when going to a museum. I would be very careful to walk around like that since I might accidentally hit something. I head back to the hotel and it was still closed. Something was up. It was either I got scammed into booking a non-existent hotel or it was something else.

It really was something else. Apparently, they sent some communication telling me to proceed to a different address. This is not the first time this has happened to me, so I should know better but apparently not. I proceeded to the address and it was along the main road. Hotel Palazzo Scamozzi is where I would be staying for the night. It looks fancy for my standards and the fact that it has Palazzo in its names tells of its history as well. I got a nice room above the main street but I noticed that you can hear the noise from the street. It does go away once the crowds go away and I would be spending my time away from the hotel anyway. The suite was nice an comfy as you might expect from a palazzo. This one was built in 1780 and designed by Ottavio Scamozzi. I have never stayed a palace before, and I’m not sure if this hotel counts as a palace but I would like to imagine that it is just this one time.
