Orto Botanico di Padova Visitor Center

I managed to visit all four sites included in the Fourteenth Century Fresco Cycles of Padua, a UNESCO World Heritage site listing. The rain showed no signs of letting up and I still have one more place I wanted to go to before I call it quits. There is a botanical garden here in Padova which is its own UNESCO World Heritage site listing. In contrast to the frescoes, the botanical garden will definitely be out in the open and there will not be any shelter. I just hope that it doesn’t get any worse than it already is.

The Orto Botanico is actually very near where my hotel is. I will say that I planned it so well that by the time I was ready to visit the botanical garden, I can just head straight to the hotel right after. However this was not the case, I was focused on visiting the frescoes first that I didn’t even care where the botanical garden was. It was just great that it just so happened to be very near the hotel. At least if it rains even more, I don’t have very far to run to get to the hotel. The botanical garden is considered to be the oldest in the academic botanical garden still in its original location. Those are a lot of qualifiers, hopefully it would be worth the visit.
