Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua

After I had a little bit of rest at the Hotel Casa del Pellegrino, I went out for dinner but I strangely forgot to bring the camera along. Either way, I went for a stroll along one of the shopping streets of Padova and it was very busy. I didn’t really linger that much since I was tired from a whole day of traveling and I head back to the hotel soon enough. I have two nights here in Padova and that should give me some time to slowly take in the sights. The following day was going to be another full day of exploring but at least I won’t be moving from city to city, hopefully it will be less stressful.

I spent the night trying to plan out where I would be visiting and I have made a route to what I think would be the most efficient way to see most of the sights. Of course, the moment I step out of the hotel I won’t be able to ignore the magnificent Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua. It was hard to see the previous night but it seems that the basilica has eight domes which are reminiscent of Byzantine era churches. This is really is a unique church which blends various architectural styles. I think it happens if the church is old enough that there would be works done on it over the years.
