The view from the top of Seceda in certainly magnificent. Visibility was excellent and there was barely a cloud in the sky. This allowed me to see for mile in almost any direction. The Odle Peaks feature prominently here and I would say they dominate the view here since one can’t help but admire the rugged mountain peaks. There are numerous trails to try here but I think it is better to do it in the summer when there is actually no snow. After a lot of photos of the mountains, I decided that I was done and slowly made my way down the mountain. On the way up, I saw the group of tourists which I saw the previous day at Val di Funes, they were just making their way up and like me, they were also here only for the photos. I was told that there was yet another cable car to ride here but I don’t plan on going there anymore. I will be leaving the region and I need to go.

To get back down to Ortisei, one would need to take the cable car back down. I don’t know if it is possible to just walk your way down but I think it was too far to walk. While I was watching the skiers enjoying themselves in the snow, I noticed that the cable car station also has a little restaurant. This should be common features in ski resorts since people would get hungry. But at the time of my visit, the restaurant didn’t seem to be active yet. Maybe it was still too early in the day for them to be open. It’s not like I would to buy anything there as they would tend to be more expensive. There were seats outside the restaurant if you want to enjoy the fresh mountain air. There was a clear panel around the outdoor seating area in case any wayward skiers would find their way to the restaurant.
