I was in the resort town of Ortisei somewhere in the Dolomites and it was already dark. It was time for dinner and recently, I have been struggling to find places to eat at. I don’t know if it is because of the nature of the places that I have been staying at that I can’t seem to find anything interesting. I actually am not even sure what I was looking for. I was hoping that I would be able to find non-pasta Italian food but that has been proving to be a little difficult to find these past two days. This isn’t any different here.

I was walking up and down the main shopping streeting in Ortisei but I can’t find one which interested me. In cases like these, I would just default to pizza. It might sound silly but the pizza here in Italy is amazing. Certainly better than anything I had where I live. On top of that, it tends to be affordable as well. I can’t think of anything better to eat if I was on a budget. I found this place called E-Quattro Pizza. Which was towards the end of the pedestrian area. I know, the further they area from the pedestrian area, the more affordable they tend to be. I guess selling pizza on an expensive street might not be the best idea.
As expected the pizza was amazing. I have come to love this style of pizza which I understand is Neapolitan. The dough has the right amount of chewiness without being too doughy. I tend to get rather standard pizza since I don’t know any better but even standard pizza is good, so why bother changing. For drinks I had something called a radler, which is can be a beer or cider mixed with lemonade. It was nice and refreshing and it complemented the pizza I was having. Although the pizzeria was towards the end of the pedestrian area, I can see the people continuously come in to the restaurant, it seems that I made the right choice coming here.
