When I thought that I would be visiting the Dolomites in Northern Italy, I didn’t even know where exactly I would need to go. After all, it was my impression that the Dolomites are a mountain range and how do you exactly go there. Turns out, they have already thought of that. The Dolomites are one of the most visited places in the Italy and the government makes sure that you can get there. There is a very good road network here and even if you do not know anything about this area, you would still be able to see a lot of places. I know some people come here for winter sports but I am not like them, I go to these places just to see and take photos and I would be happy like that.

Val di Funes is probably one of the most photogenic places within the Dolomites and that says something since the Dolomites are already quite spectacular. In between these rugged but beautiful peaks there are valleys which can be just or even more beautiful. Val di Funes sits in between these mountains and it feels like one just popped into a fairy tale. I know that the town isn’t one of those rustic and charming towns that one might be able to find elsewhere but I don’t think that is what people come to see here. The setting of the town against the rugged peaks of the Dolomites is hard to beat. I am so glad that I decided to come here, even though the sun is already starting to go down, I would want to stay a few more minutes just to appreciate such incredible beauty.
