The Dolomites were one of those places I only heard about when I was a kid. All I know is that there is a mineral called dolomite, and maybe these mountains are made up of the stuff. I have been lamenting the fact that there aren’t a lot of mountains where I live that’s why once in a while I would go to places where I can see them. I don’t have to hike or anything like that. Even driving through them is satisfying enough for me. I am on a trip around this part of the Italian Alps, specifically the Dolomites. I have heard about how beautiful this area can be and I was surprised to know that you can actually drive through them.

I’m not doing a grand tour of the Dolomites but I still hope to be able to see a lot of it. After all, one day isn’t enough to see an entire mountain range, more so when driving. Fortunately, this part of the Alps has a nice highway going through it. This makes it very convenient to access certain spots even in winter. One of these spots is Lago di Landro. I didn’t know about this place but I just came across it as I was driving. Apparently, it is a lake and I have heard about how beautiful these alpine lakes are. I’m very excited to see them.
