Palmanova Piazza Grande at Night
Palmanova Piazza Grande at Night

I had a nice early drink of authentic negroni in Italy and I thought that it was good. I was feeling it a little so I needed a walk to shake it off before going to dinner. It was more than I expected but I’m not complaining. It is supposedly an aperitif which is a drink taken before food. It should more than handle my upcoming dinner. To help shake off the negroni, I decided to walk around the Piazza Grande. It was already dark by this time, and it was very quiet. There were some establishments that were open and they were mostly restaurants. For a city square, it is almost too quiet here and it is a shame since this place is so historical.

The prominent structures in the square are all lit up, specifically, the cathedral of Palmanova. With the lights they have here it made the cathedral even gloomier than it already is. But I guess that it was gives it that atmospheric feeling. Either way, there were hardly any people walking around considering this is the city square. Most of the people I would see were just trying to get somewhere else. There is little point to hang around here at the moment. Unless you were an intrepid photographer like me.
