Pine Tree Arch in Arches National Park
Pine Tree Arch in Arches National Park

The last part of the driving route in Arches National Park has several places to see. It is no wonder the car park here in much larger than normal. It is to accommodate visitors who would need to stay longer here because there are several places to see here. This is just the main sights in the area. For the more serious hiker, there are several other arches which can be visited here. A lot of them will be one very rough trails and are not for the novice hiker. There are plenty of warnings at the viewing area for the Landscape Arch that is meant to scare away any novice who might plan to attempt the trail.

I obviously was one of those people who got turned back by the sign. I was happy to see the Landscape Arch. But I think it was time for me to turn back. I know that there are other places in the park which I still haven’t visited including the ones here in the area. I had to retrace my steps and walk back to a path which branches out. This one leads to the Pine Tree Arch. Like much of the trail here, the trail to Pine Tree Arch is relatively flat and easy for most visitors. It looks like there aren’t a lot of people who make it here since I was the only one at this arch. Maybe most people go to the Landscape Arch and forget to drop by here.
