Sandstone Formations at Arches National Park
Sandstone Formations at Arches National Park

The Garden of Eden is a large concentration of sandstone pillars in Arches National Park. Even when I was far away, I noticed this large group of stone formations that were hard to miss. Any sandstone formation here in the park stands out because a lot of the area is flat. The Garden of Eden is especially hard to miss because there are so many of these formations. From The Windows, visitors can continue on to the another trail which goes to the Garden of Eden where there is more to see.

Not all of these structures have names but those that do never fail to trigger imaginations as well as questions as to why they were named that way. I think the Garden of Eden name is quite obvious since there was a small garden of sandstone pillars here. I had to move the car since there was another parking area not too far away. From this car park, the trail to the garden starts. From here, I can already see that it won’t take a lot of time, it is probably just a case of walking there and taking photos and to walk back. It is not that different from what I have been doing all along.
