Bryce Amphitheater from Inspiration Point at Bryce Canyon National Park
Bryce Amphitheater from Inspiration Point at Bryce Canyon National Park

The more I come down from the highest point of Bryce Canyon National Park, the better the scenery seems to be. Thinking about it, it makes sense since the main feature Bryce Canyon are the hoodoo filled canyons and it is difficult to see such things if you are on top of everything. I started from the top and I was making my way down to the canyons. I can see how the scenery is changing the more I go down. My last stop was the Swamp Canyon overlook and there are distinctly more canyons to see here. I kept making my way down until I hit the next stop which is Inspiration Point.

With a name like that, you just know that this place has got to be something special. Inspiration Point provides a spectacular view of the Bryce Amphitheater. Bryce Amphitheater is the world’s largest single collection of hoodoos in the world. From the viewing area, you can see the whole amphitheater and the seemingly countless number of hoodoos here. This is what the entrance fee is all about. This is what a visit to Bryce Canyon means. The hoodoos are the signature feature of Bryce Canyon National Park and it feels like I have reached the best part of the visit.
