I don’t know much about architecture but I think I know enough to see that something looks nice. For me barque is one of the more beautiful styles that there is. I have seen baroque structures in Europe and they can be extremely flamboyant, to the point that one would wonder if this was a building or a work or art. No one is saying that it can’t be both. The town of Telč, is a town that is known for its very well preserved collection of baroque and renaissance style buildings. There were enough of them that I think it improves my overall impression of the town.

Looking that the buildings sometimes we would notice that the facades don’t have a full building behind them. Imagine the facade having a third floor but there is actually nothing behind the third level window. I don’t know if this was intentional, but it was definitely strange. What it did accomplish was to enforce a uniformity to the buildings on the square. Most of the them are of the same height and design. It was actually a bit fun to try to see behind the facade, not an easy feat because usually the “fake” part are higher up. Most visitors would be heading towards the direction away from the fountain. There were several interesting looking structures there that we couldn’t help but decide to go there. I think there were some church looking structures on that side which means there is more to see there apart from a square of baroque buildings.
