It only took us around an hour and a half to get to Telč from Český Krumlov. We will be taking the scenic route back to the big city of Prague. The town of Telč is one of our stops. It was still early morning when we got to Telč. We ended up parking at the long town square which is surrounded by multiple baroque buildings. In fact, Telč is known for its collection of baroque and renaissance houses in this very square. This is probably the first time I have seen a square that would be described as long. You can see that it really is a town square except that it is unusually long. We decided to start at one end of the square.

At one end of the square is a set of columns which depict the Holy Trinity. The Trinity Columns can be considered as one of the symbols of Telč. The baroque sculpture is a relatively recent addition to the square having been built in the eighteenth century. This figure is also emblematic of the type of town that Telč is. There is a lot of baroque and renaissance to see. Somehow I get the feeling that Telč has a bit of upscale feeling probably just from these baroque and renaissance structures. I guess it goes a long way to elevate the feeling of visiting a place when you have things like these.
