I think I had too much fun at the Palladio Museum in Vicenza. There was a good mix of architecture exhibits as well as beautiful interiors of the museum itself. The museum is also the Palazzo Barbaran da Porto was also designed by Andrea Palladio and it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage list. It is just the latest of the sites which are present in the city of Vicenza. By the time I got out of the museum, it was already dark. In fairness, it was winter when I visited and as you might expect, the days are much shorter, but still it also tells me that I need to hurry.

The follow site was not too far away. It is actually on the way out of the old town center and it was rather inconspicuous, at least only if you don’t pay attention to the buildings along the way. It seems that Palladio would get all sorts of work. In the case of Casa Cogollo, the lot was another one which doesn’t give much room to maneuver. Lie some of his work, he had to make do with what is available and designed another one of his works. From the outside it looks like it is a roman temple squished into a small lot. Actually, Casa Cogollo is also known as the house of Palladio, he actually didn’t live here. In fact, the Like the other sites, this one was also not open for visits and in fact, the general area was starting to feel a little sketchy. The was a man who was trying to talk to me but he obviously had a too much to drink. He eventually gave up on me and started bothering other people. I took my photos and quickly went away.
