I can tell that this part of the city of Padova is much busier than I have ever seen. I think this would be what one may consider to be the city center or at least when we are talking about the old city of Padova. You have all the elements of a city center. There is a Padova Cathedral nearby. There is also the Clock Tower of Padova. Now all you need is a town square. Fortunately, there is one nearby. The clock tower actually forms part of what may be considered to be the town square. At the time of my visit, it was difficult to appreciate the square since there are an open air market occupying the area. It was Christmas time after all and this is probably a yearly thing.

As you might expect from a market, the square was extremely busy and it is packed with people. It doesn’t feel like a super touristy place although there are places to see nearby. I was trying to get my bearings right since there were a lot of stalls in the square. My destination is actually nearby and could have totally missed it if it weren’t for my maps. I know that I need to visit the Palazzo della Ragione but I think I might do a little window shopping first before going in.
