It seems that most of the important places in the Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua can be found around the basilica. One may think that these were just chapels but some of the chapels here contain various important works or sometimes even relics. Some parts of the church were made by well known people at the time. This only increases the prestige of the basilica, lending to more people wanting to lend their services to the basilica. I think if even I know about Saint Anthony of Padua, I could imagine that the people of the time would know him even more.

Like any other decently sized basilicas the Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua has several of chapels. I would have to think that the chapel of relics is one of the most important ones but there are also others worth visiting. One of these is the Chapel of Blessed Luke Belludi. Blessed Luke Belludi was a companion of Saint Anthony of Padua during his works and he played a significant role in Saint Anthony’s work. It is said that Blessed Luke Belludi was instrumental in the construction of the church. The chapel is decorated with frescoes by Giusto de’ Menabuoi and it is one of the more beautiful chapels in the basilica. The remains of Blessed Luke Belludi are also housed inside the ark inside this chapel.
