Snowy Slopes at Pas di Gardena
Snowy Slopes at Pas di Gardena

I was making my way from the town of Ortisei back to Venice. It would take several hours straight but I was stopping every now and then because there was so many places to see here. There were times that I see a beautiful scenery but there was nowhere to park and I had to keep driving hoping that there has to be somewhere to stop. I was making my way through the Pas di Gardena or Gardena Pass which is a mountain pass on the way down the mountain. Fortunately, that was a stop near a rifugio where I can get down and take photos of the mountains. There was a lot of snow here but fortunately, the roads were clear.

It was hard to tell where exactly as I was since the mountains all look different. For all I know it is all the same mountain just different angles of looking at it. One of the was distinctive enough for me to remember and that is Sassolungo which I had a look at not too long ago. At least I know that it isn’t that far from the mountain earlier. I think there are some trails to follow here but most of them are snowed over. To take my photos, I needed to walk on the road and hope that there won’t be a lot of traffic passing through.
