I was very happy that I was able to get a chance to go to the top of Seceda. I should not be surprised but Ortisei is known as a hub for winter sports and of course there would be a way to go to the tops of the mountains. Although I went in the winter, it is also a great place to go to in the summer because they have a lot of hiking trails to explore. One of the tourists I ran to the previous day and I again ran into on top of Seceda, told me that they would be going to yet another mountain. I think I had enough mountains for the day and I would need to start making my way back down to Venice where I would need to return the rental car.

Of course, I will still stop along the way whenever I see someplace interesting. I haven’t gotten very far out of Ortisei and I was already seeing beautiful mountain scenery. The road was built through the mountains and it makes for a very nice drive on the way back. I don’t know if I was already used to driving here but it felt like the roads were wider here or maybe because it was morning and I just felt that it is easier to drive in the morning than in the evening. Nevertheless, the drive through the Italian alps was a pleasure and fortunately, there wasn’t a lot of traffic on the road so I can take my time and still appreciate the scenery in front of me.
