Skiing at Seceda
Skiing at Seceda

I finally made it to the top of Seceda, a well known skiing destination in Ortisei. I didn’t plan on doing any skiing here since I was just for the scenery. As you might expect, I was the only one not skiing here. I will try make the most of this visit with just my running shoes. Just outside the cable car station, I can see people zipping by. Admittedly it looks like a lot of fun , but I am not fun. The summit area is flat enough for snow accumulation which makes it perfect for skiing. It was neither super cold up on the mountain nor was there any wind which makes it perfect for sight seeing.

Getting out of the cable car station on the left, there is a path for me to follow. It might not be very obvious because it is all covered in snow but it is there. There is a trail to go up to the top and I intend to follow it. The trail wasn’t cleared of snow which made is a little difficult for me to walk up. There was some rope to help visitors pull themselves up but that was about it. I know it was foolish of me to try doing this but I think I can do it. With the little traction I have in my shoes, I slowly made my way up the mountain.
