It was already evening when I arrived at the town of Ortisei in the Dolomites. It was winter and the days are shorter which was why I needed to get here before it gets dark. I was under the impression that my accommodation was in a remote part of town. The map didn’t help much but it turned out that the hotel was right in the middle of town. This was great since that means I don’t need to drive to get anywhere. I plan to just stay in the town center looking for a place to eat and see what else is interesting here.

There is a pedestrian street very near the hotel and it was perfect to go see the town. There were also a some stalls here which are selling stuff. This is basically their Christmas market. It isn’t anything like the Christmas Markets I have seen elsewhere, but at least they have one here. This would be the first one I have seen in the entire trip. As you might expect the stalls where selling Christmas-y stuff. Others were selling snacks for people to munch on while walking here. There were only a handful of stalls here but it seems there might be more further down the street.
