Beautiful Day at Cagban Port

I was on a trip with friends, yes, I have friends, to the island of Boracay. We just arrived at Caticlan and we were on our way to the actual island itself. There is no airport on the island of Boracay itself since it is very small, the nearest airport is accessible by boat. Most hotels would provide some sort of service to fetch visitors from the airport, for independent travelers, there is always the kiosks are the airport terminal who can provide this service for you. Our resort, Henann Resorts has a private pick up service for us and they even have their own private port for us to depart from. I like how they didn’t build a physical port but instead built a pontoon where people will just walk to the boat. I disliked how it used to be back then where boats will just park wherever they want and just drop anchor wherever destroying whatever is below.

Because Henann is a high end resort, the boats here are much better than the old outrigger canoes that are actually still in use right now. The Henann boats appear to be much more comfortable, not to mention that they are faster. It only takes a few minutes to get to the port on Boracay Island at the village of Cagban. I was surprised and pleased to know that there is a proper port for visitors now. It used to be that the outrigger canoes would just park at the main beach itself and hopefully avoid any swimmers that are in the way. Most visitors will not be staying at Cagban village but instead they will have to find local transport to their hotels. For us, however, Henann has got us covered. They have shuttle buses on the mainland and they also have shuttle buses on the resort island itself so visitors will just keep riding until we get to the hotel.
