Waiting at the Frankfurt Subway Station
I took a more than three hour train ride from the city of Trier to the big city of Frankfurt. While the ride was uneventful, I was still tired from all that traveling. I managed to find my hotel for the next few nights near the train station. The hotel was in a rather dodgy area near the train station but nothing untoward happened. It is not like I would be hanging out here that often, as I would be away most of the time. I picked this place because it was convenient for me. I would be needing to take the train often and I would like it if I wasn’t going to be pressed for time running after a train.
Frankfurt U-bahn Platform
Soon after I arrived in Frankfurt, I checked in the hotel and I immediately head out. It was already evening and I wanted to go for some dinner. I found a place but I would need to take the train to get there. It was near enough to walk to but I’d rather not especially if it was freezing like it was that night. The train station was only an eight minute walk from the hotel so it helped me know the area a bit more. As you might expect the Frankfurt train station is a hub for transportation in the city and the place I was going to is accessible via train in the Frankfurt train station. This time I will be taking the subway or what they call the U-bahn or Untergrundbahn.
