Going to Trier

The next day will be a very busy day. I am checking out of the hotel but I wouldn’t be heading out to the next one immediately. I will be heading out to the city of Trier which is almost at the Luxembourg border. Like the previous day, this is another long train ride so I need to get up early to catch the train. There is a direct train to Trier that morning and it would be very convenient if I don’t need to transfer and wait for trains. This is exactly what happened. By this time I was already used to the German train system and I got my train soon enough.

I noticed that the train barely has any passengers in it. Maybe it was too early in the morning that there weren’t people riding the train. I think this was expected at this time of the morning since at a certain point in the journey, the train disconnected a few cars since there was wasn’t any need for that many cars to go to Trier. I don’t know if this was saying that there is nothing interesting in Trier but for the majority of the more than two hour journey, I seemed to be the only passenger in the train. The only time when there were significantly more people in the train was when the train was at the outskirts of Trier. It was obvious that they are people living in the outskirts of Trier making their way to their schools or their place of work.
