Praia do Inatel

Praia do Inatel

Praia do Inatel

I am in a school holiday in Algarve, I didn’t have much control over where I go or what time that happens. There were kids with us and that pretty much drove our schedule. Days were late to start and we just spent the afternoon at the apartments swimming pool. That said, everyone still had fun including me. Then someone had the idea of actually going to the beach. We didn’t have a car so we needed to walk there. We were at a good distance from the beach but I think it was manageable. This part of Portugal is marked by numerous beaches. The nearest one to us would be the Praia do Inatel.

We merely followed the main road and head down to the beach. I didn’t realize that we were quite elevated because we had to walk down to the beach. I hope it won’t be tough walking back to the apartment. It was already late afternoon when we head down to the beach, partly to avoid the kids getting sunburn. I am aware how good the coastline of this part of Portugal is and I was hoping to at least see it. But by this time, the sun was very low in the sky and it was difficult to take photos. I still got to see the beach which I thought was actually nice. There were beach chairs with umbrellas which I assume is for rent. By this time, most of the tourist crowd is gone and it was actually getting a bit chilly. Although I didn’t get into the water myself, the kids had a lot of fun and I guess that is what matters.
