The Venetian at Night

The Venetian at Night

The Venetian at Night

I got a bit of time to walk off my dinner before I start to head back to the hotel. Fortunately, the jet lag hasn’t hit me yet but I don’t want to push my luck. I thought that I would just take photos of the nearby hotels while I start to make my way back to the car. I left the car earlier at Caesar’s Palace which isn’t that far away but the hotel complexes here at quite big that I would need to go around quite a few places while I was at it. The closest hotel to where I was was The Venetian. The Venetian actually had two prominent hotel towers, the other named the Palazzo.

At night, the buildings at The Venetian are lit up and they certainly look at lot like a jewel in the night. What I was after here were the lighting effect they have on the Italian inspired buildings. The “canal” outside the hotel looks brilliant with the blue green water as well as the gondolas floating outside. Additionally, there was another Venice building which I didn’t notice initially and that is Saint Mark’s Square. I believe that is the same square that is in front of the iconic basilica with the same name. If you have seen photos of Venice submerged during an acqua alta or high tide event, it would be a photo of Saint Mark’s Square.
