The Buffet

The Buffet at Wynn Las Vegas

I went to the Wynn Las Vegas to go for dinner. A dinner buffet specifically. I have heard of how good the buffets are at Las Vegas and how it is so cheap that it was really worth it. I did some research and indeed there are a lot of buffets here in Las Vegas but they vary in quality. From the looks of it, The Buffet at the Wynn Las Vegas is the one to try if you only have one day to eat here. I have been preparing for this meal the whole day and I have skipped lunch just to make sure I have room. Customers need to book a seat online to make sure they can eat here.

I was here at bit early and I ended up having to go around the hotel first to pass the time. By the time my slot came up, there is a huge queue for the people who just drop in. The ones who booked seats where quickly seated, me included. There were several tables with food here for various cuisines, Chinese, Mexican, Indian, Italian. I quickly ran to the meat table which had an assortment of roasted and grilled meat. I won’t be able to tell you what kind of meat was there but I thought they were good. You can have your choice of cut which I didn’t know and I ended up with a rather thick and lean cut of beef. I like mine a little fatty so it won’t be that dry.

There was also seafood here and what is probably one of the selling points of the buffet is the presence of king crab with these long crab legs on display. I can see why a lot of customers would be getting a lot of these. The legs come pre-cracked so it was easy to eat. I shudder to think how many crabs were sacrificed for this. I’m not sure if they are farmed but I ate them anyway. There is also a good selection of desert but I wasn’t really up to it. By the time I got to my third plate, I was already feeling tired from jet lag and I just wanted to sleep even though I still wanted to eat. Considering that it was a self service buffet, table service was very good. The waiter assigned to my table kept asking me if I needed anything. It was almost he was feeling bad about my only having water at a buffet.
