Dinner at Siegel’s 1941

Country Fried Steak at Siegel’s 1941

As I was walking around the Fremont Street Experience, I was already keeping an eye out on where I would go for dinner. Needless to say, there are a lot of restaurants just along this stretch of road. A lot of them may not be that visible from the street because they would be inside the hotel or casino. So I was just relying on the signs they have outside the building. One of them caught my eye. Tony Roma’s is an old favorite of mine and I thought that it would be nice to eat there again. There aren’t too many branches of it anymore for some reason so I thought to take this chance to eat there. There have an amazing promotion for steak and lobster which I was intending to get. The restaurant opens at a fixed time but by the time I got there, the queue was already very long. I thought this kind of deal would be common here that not many would pay attention to it. I was wrong.

I eventually gave up on that and was just looking for a place to eat now. It was getting late and I didn’t want to walk far anymore. I went in one of the casinos and found this place called Siegel’s 1941. They claim they have good food so I just wanted to give it a try. I ended up ordering country fried steak, which is also another old favorite. I know that they probably have a specialty here like steak but it has been years since I had country fried steak. While it wasn’t as tasty as I used to have it, it still satisfied my craving for it. While I didn’t think there was anything wrong with the restaurant itself, it is the process of getting there that is the problem. One would need to go through the casino just to get there. You’ll have to inhale that strange smell they have here and hope that it doesn’t stick to you.
