View from the Grand Canyon North Rim

I was very happy that I made it to the Grand Canyon North Rim. I thought that it was so much of a pain to go here since one would need to drive all the way around the canyon just to get to the North Rim. The canyon is so wide that it is impossible to build a bridge, nor would you even want to since it will ruin the scenery. Anyway, I was happy that there weren’t as many people here compared to the South Rim but still more than I expected since it was said that most people who visit the Grand Canyon never make it to the North Rim. The Grand Canyon Lodge is one of the more significant landmarks at the North Rim and it is for good reason.

The lodge is very near one of the viewpoints for the North Rim. There is a path that goes from the lodge to the actual view point. You can see that all this is is a ledge where people would go to and take photos. There is some barrier here but you can really ignore it at your own risk. In front of you is the view of the Grand Canyon, it is basically the opposite side of the South Rim. Honestly, I can’t really tell this was the opposite side, I can’t remember any landmarks from the South Rim that it all looks the same. There is a prominent butte here which dominates the view.
