Fan Pier Park

Like the previous day, I didn’t have a clear plan on where I would be going but I do know that I am enjoying the waterfront area. I think it has really been done well. Considering the docks and piers aren’t normally very attractive places, it is good that the local government was able to make it this nice. There is still ongoing development here with the Seaport District which promises to be the next high end place to be in. It is also by the waterfront so it will have the usual restaurants, hotels and shopping centers. I believe I was at the edge of what is the Seaport District and the path is starting to curve back to the city.

Fan Pier Park sits at the corner of Seaport District. As far as parks go, it isn’t very large. In fact, they probably built a park here as an afterthought but I am glad that they did. Fan Pier Park provides a very good view of Boston Harbor and the surrounding buildings. Although I don’t like cities that much, I like taking photos of the cityscape. This would probably be one of the best spots to take these types of photos in the city. I have to remember to come back here to get a night shot since I thought it is that good.
