Lovely Day Along the River Seine

Today was my last full day in Paris, as I will be flying out the next day. I already got my negative antigen test ready so I know I would be able to get home. Then again, spending another few days stuck in Paris may not be such a bad idea. I did bring my work laptop with me just in case I get stuck here. Much as I regret having to bring all of that equipment which I won’t be using, I think it would still have been prudent to bring it along in these uncertain times. What I wasn’t expecting is how beautiful the day would actually be. I think I was too used to getting overcast days in my trips that I stop expecting beautiful days just so I won’t get disappointed.

I didn’t have a good impression of Paris the first time I visited, probably because of poor planning that I didn’t get to appreciate the place that much. However, this time, I have more time allocated to Paris, and I know that I am enjoying it a lot. I knew there are a lot of places to see here and this time I get my chance to see at least some of them. A lot of the important landmarks are long the River Seine which is the main river which cuts through Paris. The royals of the time recognize the importance of this area and built a palace here. There are several historical buildings here as well as just the plain serenity of the river flowing through the city. There are river cruises on the Seine if that is your thing. For me, I would prefer that I walk.
