Walking Along the Avenue de Champagne

Outside Champagne de Venoge

While waiting for my slot for wine tasting at Moët and Chandon, I decided that it would be best to make use of this time to explore the Avenue de Champagne. I am aware that this is the town’s main attraction but I didn’t know how long the avenue would be. I was hoping that I would see most of the important places then I can head back for my wine tasting. Come to think of it, it was already noon and I haven’t had lunch yet. However, it doesn’t seem like there are any eating places here along the Avenue de Champagne. What they do have is wine house after wine house.

The buildings that are built along the Avenue de Champagne are certainly ones that a meant to impress. They are not tall but they look like mansions. The fences outside these mansions certainly adds a feeling of exclusivity. It was almost as if they don’t want you to go there if you do not have enough money to buy their stuff. Add the design of the houses which makes them look like small palaces and you have a royal setting right here. It is not that far from the truth since some of these champagne houses have royalty as their customers.
