Talbot Hotel Stilorgan

It was a tiring day of visiting places. I wasn’t expecting to be walking all over the place when I came here but I made it to Powerscourt Estate where the thing to do here is walk. Fortunately, the kids got tired and I don’t have to drive. We made it back to the hotel soon enough, hoping to get dinner somewhere nearby. I took this chance to check in. I arrived at the hotel in the morning and the room wasn’t ready for check in yet. This time however, it was ready. We are staying at the Talbot Hotel in Stilorgan, not too far from Dublin city center. I seldom stay in hotels since it would just be me using the room. However, I am traveling with friends this time and I can’t find any bed and breakfast nearby so I decided to pony up for my own hotel room.

I got a separate room for myself since I think it would be difficult for me with kids around. There would be rules like needing to sleep early, no phone at nights and what not. I was supposedly given a room with a seaview. Seaview? I didn’t think we were next to the sea, so what seaview is he talking about. The guy wasn’t lying, I can indeed see the sea from the room, it is just that, it is rather far away. I’m not complaining, just amused. The room it is large and spacious. There are even furniture here to accommodate and guests I might have. It was warm those few days so the air conditioning was actually nice to have. I have been to a hotel in Dublin which didn’t have any air-conditioning. It was quite uncomfortable because it was that warm when I was there. The bathroom was likewise clean and spacious. For the following day, I had breakfast at their restaurant. This needed to be booked at that time because of social distancing. I enjoyed my stay at the Talbot, I don’t stay at hotels that much but I do enjoy them when I do. The facilities at Talbot Hotel in Stilorgan are very good and I wouldn’t mind staying here the next time I need a hotel in Dublin.
