Going to Inishbeg

I think I was making good time in my journey through West Cork. I probably won’t go through every single beach out there but I would definitely try to visit all if not most of the remaining sights along the Wild Atlantic Way. I don’t really have to hurry since I do have a couple of days left here in the area. For now, I would want to visit as much as I can so that I won’t have to retrace my steps the next day. My next destination would be Inishbeg. It is an island, but there seems to be access from the mainland. Hopefully, it won’t be a problem to visit.

The main turn to Inishbeg is along the main highway, there is a sign but it can be rather small. I doesn’t seem like Inishbeg is one of the major destinations along this but I think I should still visit it anyway since I was already here. Hopefully, I won’t have to spend too much time here. Immediately upon approaching Inishbeg, I can tell that it isn’t one where there would be a lot of people. There is a tiny bridge which connects the mainland to the island itself. However, there will be signs where it would be clear that this is private property. There is a swampy area near the bridge which I thought was great for photos. Like a lot of areas around coastal Cork, this area is heavily silted. I not sure if there would be a nice beach here but I think I will find out soon.
