As part of the ride back home, I decided to take the scenic route. I went by the Kilcar region where I saw a sign for the coast road. I knew that it was a tourist route so I was hoping that there is something nice to see there. This part of the county is already quite scenic so I knew I would be in for a treat. I braved the narrows roads here and soon enough I was traveling along the coast. What is nice is that the road is quite high above sea level, making the landscape even more impressive.

One of the highlights along this route is the Muckross Head Viewpoint. Muckross Head is one of the major land masses here and like a lot of places along this area, there are high cliffs to be seen here. Before I actually go there, there a view point along the coast road to see Muckross Head from afar. From here you can see the cliffs that Muckross Head is known for. What’s more, there is also a beach for people who prefer to just swim instead of being adventurous. There is ample parking space here as well. I can see that there are also people living along this side of the hill, giving them a very great view of the Muckross Head any time of the day.
