Walking Down the Dock at Lake McDonald
Lake McDonald is one of the most popular places in Glacier National Park. Fortunately, I stay not too far away from the lake. This makes it very easy for me to visit this place. Today has got to be the best weather I have seen here at Lake McDonald. It was not blue sky all the way but the sun was definitely out. There were clouds which keep the mountains dark so I have to wait until the sun shines on them before taking a photo. In these times, you need to be very patient. I think there was still more left in the day so I decided to try to relax here.
Dock at Lake McDonald
There are some water activities here at Lake McDonald and usually it is canoeing. There is a motorboat on the lake but I wasn’t sure who owns it. Because of this, there is a dock to the right of main viewing area where boat passengers can get on and off. Incidentally, this also makes for the perfect spot to hang out. There is probably a constant flow of people here to take their photos since it is really very pretty. I actually had to wait a while to get my chance. People can come here to take the rather cliche photo of sitting at the end of the dock. Cliche it may be but you don’t get this good of a background anytime. I did hang around here for a few minutes and had to leave because someone wanted to get their photo here.
