Going to Lake McDonald Lodge

Lake McDonald Lodge

Lake McDonald Lodge

I was very glad that I rented a car here at Glacier National Park. The park is huge and it would be difficult to get around without a car. The park actually provides a shuttle from certain points within the park, but you would be held to the schedule of when the shuttle leaves. Naturally, having your own transportation would be very convenient so you can follow your own pace. I finally started on the western end of the Going to the Sun Road. Much of the western end follows the eastern shore of Lake McDonald. It seems that the road was deliberately designed to be near some interesting places. This was the same when I visited the eastern end of the Going to the Sun Road.

One of the main places to see in the western side is naturally Lake McDonald. It was a pleasure to be driving along the shores of the lake you can’t help but keep looking outside because of its beauty. It was a shame that I was driving that I couldn’t keep staring out the window. There would be stops along the way for visitors to better appreciate the lake. What’s more, there are also chances for you to stay here. Lake McDonald Lodge is one of several historic lodges that are found in Glacier National Park. It is built along the shore of Lake McDonald and you can bet that this would be a great place to stay considering the location. I was glad to know that Lake McDonald Lodge is open to visitors. I actually considered staying here but I had to reconsider because it wasn’t cheap at all.
