Breakfast at Eddie’s Cafe and Gifts

I was surprisingly tired on my first day of exploration of Glacier National Park. This was due to the amount of driving that was involved as well as the hiking that I did when I went to the park. It was all worth the effort since it was such a lovely day that it was difficult to take bad photographs. Most of the photos were good but others weren’t because I wasn’t there at the right time of the day. I admit that I never really research these things. I just end up in a situation that wasn’t ideal when it comes to photography.

The next day, I wanted to start early but I never do. I was supposed to be jet-lagged but I still woke up late. Fortunately, I don’t need to drive that far this time. I would be exploring the western end of the Going to the Sun Road. But before that, I want some breakfast. I think people are expected to be bringing their own food here in the park since there isn’t a lot of eating places here. I went to the village of Apgar for some breakfast at Eddie’s Cafe and Gifts. I had a great meal of omelette and I thought it was very filling. I think it makes for a perfect start for the day since I probably would end up hiking again. One thing about Eddie’s Cafe and Gifts is that they are family owned and they take pride in not lining the pockets of some millionaire who lives somewhere far away. I think it is a great idea to promote local shops. Especially in places as remote as this.
