Going to Wild Goose Island

Wild Goose Island

Wild Goose Island

I just entered Glacier National Park from the east entrance even if I was staying in the west. This is because the Going to the Sun Road is closed midway and there is no way to traverse it from there except by going by a roundabout way. After two hours of driving I managed to make it to the east entrance and it was time to explore. There is still a lot of driving to be done here unless you really want to hike all the way to the top. There is no rush here since speed limits are capped so make sure it is safe for hikers.

It is good that the roads here are wide and the speed limits are low because I would be constantly distracted here by the incredible scenery. The way to the park was already spectacular by itself, I can’t wait to see what is inside the park. I think a lot of times, I would be following the shores of the lakes as I make my way through the mountains. Lake Saint Mary is the first lake here and it was already looking very good. The waters look very clean and there were mountains around making for incredible landscapes. These are the times where just taking a photo is not enough to capture the beauty of a place.
