I didn’t have anything planned for the rest of the day. It would be my last day in Taipei and I was thinking I should just take it easy. I read about how Taipei has this huge underground mall but I wasn’t sure where it was. Taipei City Mall is one of these underground mall and it seems that it is one of the largest in Taipei. I makes use of its connections to the subway system and setup stalls here. There were so many of them that the place became a shopping mall. It isn’t a very fancy place like some of the shopping malls that I have been too. In fact, this one is actually quite normal.

I found out later that Taipei City Mall has a full third of it allocated to anime merchandise. I am a huge fan of anime and it was surprised to see such a huge number of these shops here. Unfortunately, a lot of the characters weren’t known to me since I haven’t been watching for months. As some of you might know, these characters are basically characters from Japanese animation. The anime industry is a huge part of Japanese culture and including parts of east Asia. I was surprised to see how long the Taipei City Mall was, I think I spanned across three metro stations. It has very good connections to the metro so it should be easy to get here.
