The town hall tower in Krakow wasn’t that tall compared to other towers I have been to in Europe. This tower appears to be for civilian use as opposed to one used for the church. The tower occupies a good location at the square which allow visitors to get a bird’s eye view of the square. I don’t have very high hopes for this one since it isn’t that tall. Not being tall has also its advantages, at least I won’t have to walk up the tower that much. It is still a scary climb up since much of the way is dimly lit.

It wasn’t long before I reached the top of the tower. It was indeed quick. I have been to other towers which needed a lift to go to the top. This wasn’t tall enough to require one. From here, you can see much of the old town of Krakow. One can see how large the square actually is. You can see how much of the square has been preserved as well as been repurposed for something else like restaurants. There were restaurant tables below and it looks like they are already setting up shop. I don’t think it was a good idea to be eating outside since it was chilly, but then again, this kind of weather might actually be quite pleasant for the locals.
