Crucifixion Scene at Slea Head Drive

I didn’t want to spend too much time at one place, I was planning on heading back home after exploring the Dingle Peninsula. Even though it was a better day today, I didn’t have time to spare. I was following the Slea Head drive which brings me around the Dingle peninsula. It would stop anywhere there seems to be a stopping area. They usually set these places up for a reason, and that would be because there is something interesting nearby. Sometimes, there won’t even be a sign to tell you if there was anything interesting. Just a parking spot would do and you would discover the rest.

The next stop was one of those places. There was a parking area for around five vehicles and that was my sign to park there too. There seems to be a nice viewing area from this part of the peninsula, but apparently there was something more. There was a crucifixion scene nearby. I would have imagined it to be part of a stations of the cross but I don’t recall seeing the other stations. The would have these kinds of things by the road to help keep travelers safe along the way. The scene is all white and it would be hard to miss against the dark rocks.
