Cahir Castle Beside the River Suir
When I arrived at Chair Castle, I immediately noticed how much water this place has. The castle itself is built on an island on the River Suir. This made a perfect natural defense for the castle. I parked beside the castle where the river runs past and I noticed that there were swan here. I don’t see swan very often so I was amazed at the sight. It seems to be quite common in this part of the world. There was a nice park where along the river where people can have a nice walk. The river gives more character to the castle.

The park here was a surprise since it is right in the middle of town. It is basically one which follows the river but it has a lot of plant life along it. It can give you the impression that you are in the middle of nowhere when there is a large castle right behind you. I would be nice to see the castle at night but I don’t really have time to wait. I saw a few signs pointing to nearby sights I was thinking of visiting them since I still have time to spare before I need to leave again.
