De Kleine Post

We managed to get to the city of Antwerp and it seems to be much busier than the other Belgian cities which we have visited. There railway station seems to be a major stop in the city and a lot of buses and trams stop here. It was actually confusing to figure out where to take the tram since it seems to be all over the place. I already had an idea of which tram to take but finding the stop was challenging. We managed to locate the tram just as it was pulling over. We were on our way to Antwerp Old Town. The modern city of Antwerp is much bigger now but it seems that much of the old town center is still intact. I like that about these places since they manage to keep and maintain their historical buildings while at the same time move forward.

The tram dropped us at what seemed to be another square – Groenplaats. It find these names confusing since they seems to change languages quite often. There is French, Flemish and Dutch here so it really is quite confusing. The square seems to have a few restaurants and it was just in time since it was already time for lunch. We decided to go to a shop named De Kliene Post. I went and had something called spare ribs which turned out t obe baby back ribs. Not that I was complaining but I didn’t realize that it was something quite common, in fact, that we my second rack in a week. The meat wasn’t really that nice, in fact it was quite tough, I like my ribs to be falling off the bone ones. My friend has something that looked like chicken with cream on it. I didn’t hear anything bad about it, so I guess it was okay. It seems this is a nice place to people watch since a lot of people pass by here. It is also a major tourist area.
